Before you add to cart, run through this quickly. To get the full 22kW you need three things: three-phase power at your property, a vehicle that accepts 22kW AC charging, and the right cable. If you're not sure whether you have three-phase power, check your switchboard — if you've got three rows of circuit breakers rather than one, you're likely three-phase. If in doubt, ask your electrician. And check your EV's onboard charger capacity — plenty of EVs cap out at 7kW or 11kW on AC regardless of what the charger delivers. The X4 will still work, it'll just charge at whatever your car can accept. Worth knowing before you spend the extra.

If you tick all three boxes, the X4 is the fastest AC home charging option available. For high-kilometre drivers, large battery EVs, or anyone who just wants the car ready faster, it's worth every cent.

Everything else about the X4 is identical to the X3. It's untethered, so you choose the cable that suits your vehicle and setup — 22kW three-phase cables available separately in 5m, 7m and 10m.
