The BYD Shark 6 already turns heads, but the stock chrome badges can look a bit… unfinished.
If you want your Shark to look tougher, cleaner and more premium, swapping to blacked-out front and rear emblem badges is one of the highest-impact mods you can do in under 10 minutes.
In this guide, we’ll walk through:
- What the BYD Shark 6 Front Emblem Badge and Rear Emblem Badge actually do for the look of the car
- Real before and after photos from Shark owners
- A simple step-by-step install guide
- Common FAQs (paint safety, removal, fitment, etc.)

Why Change Your BYD Shark 6 Badges?
If you’ve already blacked out the wheels, tinted the windows, or added accessories, the chrome badge starts to look out of place.
Swapping to a black BYD emblem:
- Cleans up the front and rear of the car
- Makes the Shark look more aggressive and sporty
- Gets rid of the “cheap chrome” feel
- Takes minutes instead of hours – no sanding, no masking, no plastidip mess
Instead of taping up your badge area and spraying plastidip (and then dealing with chipped paint and constant touch-ups), you just peel, stick and go.
Front vs Rear: Which BYD Shark 6 Badge Do You Need?
We offer two separate pieces so you can do just the front, just the rear, or both:
Each badge is:
- Model-specific for the Shark 6
- Made from high-quality, durable plastic
- Supplied with pre-installed automotive double-sided tape
- Designed to sit over the existing badge area – no drilling, no wiring, no panel removal
For the cleanest look, most owners grab both front and rear in the same finish so the whole car ties together.
Glossy Black vs Matte Black vs Carbon Fibre – Which Style Should You Choose?
We offer three looks (subject to availability):
- Glossy Black
- Deep, shiny black
- Matches high-gloss trims, black wheels, piano black accents
- Great if your Shark is already running gloss black accessories

- Matte Black
- Stealth, low-key, non-reflective
- Pairs well with darker paint colours, off-road builds and more rugged setups
- Looks less “bling”, more “purposeful”
- Carbon Fibre Design
- Printed carbon-fibre-style look
- Adds a more “performance” vibe if you’re into motorsport styling
- Best as a matching set front + rear so it doesn’t look random
How to Install BYD Shark 6 Front & Rear Emblem Badges
You don’t need a workshop, power tools or any special skills. Just a clean surface and a few minutes.
What you’ll need
- BYD Shark 6 front and/or rear emblem badge kit (with tape pre-installed)
- Paint-safe surface cleaner or isopropyl alcohol
- Clean microfiber cloth
- Optional: a plastic trim tool or fingernail if you’re removing any leftover adhesive
Step-by-step
- Clean the area thoroughly
- Wipe the area where the new badge will sit using a paint-safe cleaner.
- Make sure there’s no wax, dirt, road grime or old adhesive.
- Dry completely
- Let the area dry for 30–60 seconds.
- The surface needs to be clean and dry for the tape to bond properly.
- Test fit
- Before peeling the backing, hold the badge in place and line it up.
- Note the position so you can stick it on straight the first time.
- Peel and stick
- Peel off the backing from the double-sided tape.
- Carefully place the badge into position and press down firmly.
- Apply even pressure
- Press around all edges and the centre for 20–30 seconds to make sure the tape bonds.
- Keep it dry for 48 hours
- Avoid washing the car or soaking the badge area for 48 hours so the adhesive can fully cure.
That’s it. No plastidip. No mess. No overspray.
Will These Badges Damage My Paint?
Short answer: not if you install and remove them correctly.
- The badges use automotive double-sided tape, not screws or drilling.
- If you ever want to remove them, you can warm the tape with a hairdryer and gently work it off, then clean up any residue with a paint-safe adhesive remover.
- They sit over the original area, so you’re not modifying the car permanently.
Do the BYD Shark 6 Badges Affect Sensors or Safety Systems?
No.
The badges are purely cosmetic. They:
- Don’t block cameras or radar
- Don’t interfere with sensors
- Don’t change any factory safety systems
They simply change the appearance of the front and rear badge areas.
